About Entity-890:

Entity-890, or the "TV Virus" is an entity that acts very similar to viruses on computers. Except Entity-890 attaches itself to televisions, by traveling through satellite networks. Entity-890 specifically attacks televisions, and it will infect any television it can get to. Once it attaches itself to a television, it multiplies and sends other Entity-890s to other televisions. Then, after one infects another, they keep multiplying and dividing until there are no more televisions to infect. Televisions that get infected by Entity-890 are referred to as Entity-890-2.

Televisions infected with Entity-890 begin to glitch out and show weak tv signal glitches frequently. At first, it just seems like the tv has a weak signal, but in reality, it is because Entity-890 is purposely messing with the television's display, to annoy anyone watching the television. This is only the first stage of Entity-890. After a while, Entity-890 begins to glitch the television further, to the point where sometimes it is impossible to watch television without a glitch appearing. In stage 2, its glitches usually will transmit messages, like "I'm here" or "N0 3SC4P3" . But after stage 2, actions Entity-890 does start to become more dangerous. On stage 3, it begins to give false EAS warnings on the television. It states in these EAS warnings about dangerous hurricanes or tornados incoming. Sometimes, it might even state that a nuclear missile is incoming in the area. This usually makes viewers panic and follow instructions stated in the EAS warning. The false EAS warnings usually are very vague, and glitch out very often. Then, stage 4 occurs a while later. Stage 4 is the last and most dangerous stage. At its last stage, Entity-890 interrupts the TV, and goes into a black screen for 5 seconds. Then, SMPTE lines appear on the screen with a light static noise. The SMPTE lines radiate an addictive feeling, and people that view the lines usually have a hard time looking away, and viewers usually just stare. But, if viewers stare at the screen for more than 5 minutes, they become hypnotized. After becoming hypnotized, the hypnotized person commits suicide. For example, if they are in a building, they may jump off their balcony head first. If they are near a kitchen, they may grab a knife and stab themselves. After Entity-890 has the viewer kill themselves, it uses the tv as a breeding ground to make more Entity-890s.

How To Contain Entity-890:

Entity-890 is to be contained in a SCC with no other additions to the cell. It must have a table in either side of it's cell, with an infected tv, Entity-890-2, on top of the table. Entity-890-2 must never be connected to a satellite network, and should be isolated from any network connection. A black cover must be over the display of the infected tv at all times. If the cover is taken off, personnel are advised not to look at the screen of the tv. If Entity-890 escapes containment, or travels from the infected tv to another tv, the original infected must be instantly disconnected from the network connection. If for any case that is not possible, the original infected tv must be instantly demolished and destroyed. If a new tv becomes infected, that tv must instantly be disconnected from any network or satellite connection. If the original tv is destroyed, then the new infected tv will become the new original tv. If for any case Entity-890 enters the outside world, all satellites in the area must be instantly disabled, and Entity-890 must be tracked down and put back into containment. Any outside world televisions infected with Entity-890 must be instantly tracked down and destroyed.
